Terms & hire conditions
A summary of our hire terms. Full conditions are provided with your booking confirmation.
1. Eligibility
Hirers must hold a full, valid driving licence for the minimum period specified for the vehicle, meet the minimum age and experience requirements, and pass identity and licence verification. Additional drivers must be declared and approved.
2. Booking & payment
A booking is confirmed once availability is agreed and payment or a deposit is taken. Prices are shown per day and exclude any optional extras unless stated. Rates are held for the dates quoted.
3. Security deposit
A refundable security deposit is pre-authorised before delivery and released after the vehicle is returned undamaged, with the same fuel level and within the agreed mileage. Damage, excess mileage, fuel and traffic charges may be deducted.
4. Insurance & excess
Comprehensive insurance is included. An insurance excess applies per claim, shown on the vehicle page. The hirer is responsible for damage up to the excess, and for any damage not covered by the policy (for example, wrong fuel, kerbing, interior damage).
5. Delivery & collection
We deliver and collect UK-wide at the address and time agreed. Someone authorised must be present to receive and return the vehicle and complete the condition inspection.
6. Use of the vehicle
Vehicles must not be used for racing, track use, hire or reward, towing, or taken abroad without prior written consent. Smoking and animals are not permitted unless agreed. Any traffic offences, tolls or fines during the hire are the hirer’s responsibility.
7. Cancellations
Cancellation terms are confirmed at the time of booking and vary by vehicle and notice period. Please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited. Delephna is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the hire.
